day 36 - delhi, india - 7 nov

my days are really messed up here with the sleep thing. i've actually not been out of the hotel in the 36 hours i've been here. what was i doing you maybe asking? well, the jet lag was bad in part due to the inablility to sleep on the flight. i’ve spend alot of time in the hotel lobby with the wireless signal only available there, dealing with some issues concerning my travel in dec. so i’ve been on the net better part of the afternoon.. (this whole blog is going to be about places to fine wireless around the world, i love you all, and since i’m not really into the journal thing or motivated to give you each a daily or weekly personal update, this is the closes thing i can come up with).

there is also a travel assistant/agent in the lobby who i’ve been working with to find transportation to varanasi.

this evening i discovered the tv in the room does work. big mistake up again all night. speaking of the room. i found out that this really was a gold mine of a find for delhi. it’s less than $30 a night the place is clean, room has a fan (which could use variable speed control) i spoke with this other traveler who is a tour guide and he was amazed at everything the provided . i guess the big draw back for most western travelers is the neighborhood (which i never seemed to get out into anyway) in house laundry: had mine done for like $4 everything looks new again. i didn’t request or pay for ironing, either they did or this stuff was pulled from a hot drier and folded perfectly right away.

you’re probably saying, “how can he write so much when he’s not doing anything?“ i don’t, know!
