day 35 - india - 6 nov

i had made a reservation for a hotel that i found online, they indicated that they provided transportation from the airport, but since i was leaving shortly i was concerned about making the request in an email and not knowing if i received a response, so i used my trusty skype service and got through and it was seamless, once i cleared customs the guy was there with the name card waiting. i'd wanted to exchange travelers cheques at the airport which would have been better. i ended up having to give out dollars, which was over tipping in a few circumstances, but i spotted the driver and he me. plus there was a line at the exchange. my flight arrived at 5:15 and i was at the hotel by 6:30. i guess traffic is still a bit light at that hour, although it was a whole new experiece. it’s much more intense here then anywhere else i’ve been, but the aggression isn’t the same as la, people just pass and cut over the the driver behind gives way.

at the hotel the room attendant was making it up, so i had to wait a few minutes. not having slept, once i made it into the room i was pretty much down for the count.

got up around 16:00 went to lobby to check emails try to post a few picture. spent the rest of the evening putting together the whole blog site. beyond that i made my way up to the roof top resturant for my one meal of the day around 10pm. since i’d slept all day i wasn’t able to fall asleep until 5am.
